    Back Up & Restore App Data:

    1. Open “Settings
    2. Scroll to “Personal” and tap “Backup & reset
    3. Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data, Wi-Fi passwords, and settings to your backup account
    4. Enable “Automatic Restore” to allow app data, settings, and Wi-Fi passwords to be restored automatically the next time you sign in with the backup account or reinstall apps

    Back Up & Restore Contacts:

    1. Launch “Settings
    2. Go to “Accounts
    3. Select an account and make sure the “Contacts” check box is ticked
    4. Tap “Menu” > “Sync Now

    NOTE: Contacts can be restored the next time you log in with the backup account.

    Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:

    1. Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB
    2. Enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” when prompted or from the Notification area
    3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Copy the media files from the phone storage and transfer them in the desired backup location on the PC storage
    5. Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord

    Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:

    1. Connect the Android device to the computer via USB
    2. Enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” at the prompt or from the Notification area
    3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media file backups on the computer storage
    5. Copy and transfer the backup files to the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” folder
    6. Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB port
