    Back Up & Restore App Data:

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Tap “Backup & reset” under “Personal”
    3. Turn “Back up my data” ON to back up app data, settings, and passwords to your account
    4. Enable “Automatic Restore” to allow app data, settings, and passwords to be restored the next time you sign in with the backup account or when reinstalling apps

    Back Up & Restore Contacts:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Access “Accounts”
    3. Select an account type and the account you want to use for contact backup
    4. Make sure “Contacts” is checked
    5. Tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”

    NOTE: Contacts can be automatically restored the next time you sign in with the backup account or by manually syncing the account data with the phone.

    Back Up Media Files on a PC:

    1. Establish a USB connection between the Android device and PC
    2. Enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” when prompted or from the Notification area
    3. Open the File Explorer on the computer and locate the media files on the phone storage
    4. Copy and transfer the files to the desired backup location on the computer
    5. After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord

    Restore Media Files Form a PC:

    1. Connect the Android device to the computer via USB
    2. Enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” at the prompt or from the Notification area
    3. Open the File Explorer on the computer and locate the media file backups
    4. Copy the backup files to the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” directory or the folder(s) of origin
    5. After the transfer completes, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB port
