    Back Up & Restore App Data:

    1. Launch “Settings
    2. Scroll to “Personal
    3. Tap “Backup & reset
    4. Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data and settings to your Google account
    5. Enable “Automatic restore” to allow app data to be restored automatically the next time you sign in with the backup account

    Back Up Contacts:

    1. Open “Settings
    2. Scroll to and tap “Accounts
    3. Select the account type and account you want to use for contact syncing
    4. Tick the “Contacts” check box and tap “Menu” > “Sync Now

    NOTE: You can restore contacts automatically the next time you sign in with the backup account.

    Back Up Media Files on a PC:

    1. Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB
    2. Enable “File Transfer ” / “Media device” when prompted or from the Notification area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media files on the phone
    5. Copy and transfer the files to the desired backup location on the PC
    6. Once done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB port

    Restore Media Files from a PC:

    1. Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB
    2. Enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” at the prompt or from the Notification area
    3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media file backups on the computer
    5. Copy and transfer the files to the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” folder
    6. Once done, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the device form the USB port
