    Disable Unused Connectivity Features:

NOTE: You can disable the phone’s connectivity features when not actively in use, such as Wi-Fi, Hotspot, GPS, and Bluetooth, to avoid unnecessary network scans and improve battery life in the long run.

    1. On the home screen, swipe the Status bar down
    2. Tap the “Location” (GPS), “Wi-Fi” and “Bluetooth” quick toggles to disable the features

    Switch to 2G Networks Temporarily:

NOTE: If your phone runs low on battery and you don’t have quick access to a wall socket or battery bank, you can conserve battery life until the next recharge by temporarily switching to 2G networks.

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Tap “More” under “Wireless & Networks”
    3. Tap “Mobile networks” > “Preferred network type”

    4. Select an account type and the desired account
    5. Change the account’s settings to reduce sync

    Minimize Third-Party App Usage:

NOTE: Some third-party apps perform regular background processes that can potentially affect the phone’s battery life even when not in use. By disabling or removing unused third-party apps, you can improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Scroll to “Device”
    3. Tap “Apps”
    4. Go to “All apps”
    5. Select the desired application
    6. Tap “Disable” / “Force Stop”
    7. To remove the app, tap “Uninstall”

Keep the OS Up To Date:

NOTE: OS updates can include battery life improvements and thus it’s recommended to keep the OS up to date at all times. To check for updates:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Scroll to and tap “About phone”
    3. Tap “System updates” and check if new updates are available
    4. If applicable, follow the on-screen steps to download and apply the update (NOTE: the update process will require you to reboot the device)
