    Back Up & Restore App Data:

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Tap “Backup & reset” under “Personal”
    3. Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data, settings, and passwords to your backup account
    4. Enable “Automatic Restore” to allow app data, settings, and passwords to be restored automatically when reinstalling apps or signing in with the backup account

    Back Up & Restore Contacts:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Scroll to and tap “Accounts”
    3. Select an account type
    4. Tap the account you want to use for syncing your contacts
    5. Make sure “Contacts” is checked then tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”

    NOTE: Contacts can be automatically restored the next time you sign in with the backup account, or by manually syncing the account data – and contacts - with the phone.

    Back Up Media Files on a PC:

    1. Establish a USB connection between the Android device and PC
    2. Enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” on the phone, when prompted or from the Notification area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media files on the phone storage
    5. Copy and transfer the files to the desired backup location on the computer
    6. Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB port

    Restore Media Files from a PC:

    1. Establish a USB connection between the phone and PC
    2. On the phone, enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” when prompted or from the Notification area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media file backups on the computer
    5. Copy and paste the files to the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” directory
    6. Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord
