    Back Up & Restore App Data:

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Scroll to “Personal”
    3. Tap “Backup & reset”
    4. Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data, settings, and passwords to your backup account
    5. Enable “Automatic restore” to allow app data, settings, and passwords to be restored automatically when reinstalling apps or signing in with the backup account

    Back Up & Restore Contacts:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Access “Accounts” and select an account type
    3. Tap the desired account and make sure “Contacts” is checked
    4. Tap “Menu” > “Sync now”

    NOTE: Contacts can be restored automatically the next time you log in with your backup account, or by manually syncing the account data – and contacts- with the phone.

    Back Up Media Files on a PC:

    1. Connect the Android device to the computer via USB
    2. Enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” when prompted or from the Notification area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media files on the phone and copy them
    5. Transfer the files to the desired backup location on the PC
    6. Once done, eject the phone storage from the system tray and safely disconnect it form the USB port

    Restore Media Files from a PC:

    1. Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB
    2. Enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” on the phone, when prompted or from the Notification shade
    3. Open the File Explorer on the PC
    4. Locate the media file backups on the PC
    5. Copy and transfer the files to the phone storage, preferably in the folders from where they originate
    6. Once done, safely eject the phone storage and disconnect it from the USB cord
