    Back Up & Restore App Data:

    1. Open “Settings” and scroll to “Personal”
    2. Tap “Backup & Reset”
    3. Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data, passwords, and settings to your backup account
    4. Enable “Automatic restore” to allow app data, settings, and passwords to be restored automatically when reinstalling apps or signing in with the backup account

    Back Up & Restore Contacts:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Go to “Accounts”
    3. Select an account type and the account you want to use for contact syncing
    4. Make sure “Contacts” is checked
    5. Tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”

    NOTE: Contacts backed up using this method can be restored automatically the next time you sign in with the backup account.

    Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:

    1. Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB
    2. Enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” when prompted or from the Notification area
    3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media files on the phone storage
    5. Copy and paste the files to the desired backup location on the PC
    6. After the transfer completes, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB port

    Restore Media Files from a PC:

    1. Connect the Android device to a computer via USB
    2. Enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” when prompted or from the Notification area
    3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media file backups on the computer
    5. Copy and paste the backup files to the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” folder or the directories of origin
    6. Once done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB port
