    Back Up & Restore App Data:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Scroll to “Personal” and tap “Backup & reset”
    3. Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data, settings, and Wi-Fi passwords to your backup account
    4. Enable “Automatic Restore” to allow app data, settings, and passwords to be restored the next time you sign in with the backup account or when reinstalling apps

    Back Up & Restore Contacts:

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Go to “Accounts” and select an account type
    3. Select the account you want to use for backing up the contacts
    4. Ensure the “Contacts” check box is ticked
    5. When ready, tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”

    NOTE: Contacts can be restored automatically the next time you sign in with the backup account or by manually syncing them with the phone.

    Back Up Media Files on a PC:

    1. Establish a USB connection between the PC and smartphone
    2. On the phone, enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” at the prompt or from the Notification area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media files on the phone
    5. Copy and transfer the files to the desired backup location on the PC
    6. Once the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord

    Restore Media Files from a PC:

    1. Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB
    2. Enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” at the prompt or from the Notification area
    3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media file backups on the PC
    5. Transfer the files to the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” folder or the directories from where they originate
    6. Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord
