    Back Up & Restore App Data:

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Scroll to “Personal” and tap “Backup & reset”
    3. Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data, settings, and Wi-Fi passwords to your backup account
    4. Enable “Automatic restore” to allow app data, settings, and passwords to be restored automatically when signing in with the backup account

    Back Up & Restore Contacts:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Access “Accounts”
    3. Select an account type and the account you want to use for syncing the contacts
    4. Ensure “Contacts” is checked
    5. Tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”

    NOTE: Contacts backed up using this method can be automatically restored the next time you log in with the backup account.

    Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:

    1. Connect the Android device to the computer via USB
    2. Enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” at the prompt or from the Notification area
    3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media files on the phone
    5. Copy and transfer the files to the desired backup location on the computer
    6. Once done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord

    Restore Media Files from a PC:

    1. Establish a USB connection between the phone and computer
    2. On the phone, enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” at the prompt or from the Notification area
    3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media file backups on the PC storage
    5. Copy and transfer the backup files to the phone storage, preferably in the folders from where they originate
    6. After the transfer completes, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord
