    Enable Battery Saving Mode:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Go to “Device”
    3. Tap “Battery” > “Menu”
    4. Enable “Battery saver”

Lower the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

    1. Swipe the Status bar down on the home screen
    2. In the quick toggle area, drag the brightness slider towards the left to decrease brightness
    3. Open “Settings” for additional options
    4. Tap “Display” and optionally, turn “Adaptive brightness” ON or OFF
    5. For screen timeout options, tap “Sleep”
    6. Select a lower timeout value such as “15 seconds”

    Disable Unused Connectivity Features:

NOTE: You can disable the phone’s connectivity features when not actively in use – such as Wi-Fi, Hotspot, Bluetooth, and GPS – to avoid unnecessary network scans and conserve battery life in the long run.

    1. On the home screen, swipe the Status bar down
    2. Tap the “Wi-Fi”, “Location” and “Bluetooth” quick toggles to disable the features
    3. Next open “Settings” and go to “Location” for GPS options
    4. Tap “Mode” and enable “Battery saving”
    5. Return to “Settings”
    6. For hotspot options, tap “More” under “Wireless & Networks”
    7. Then tap “Tethering & Portable hotspot” and turn the feature OFF

    Temporarily Switch to 2G Networks:

NOTE: If your device runs low on battery and you don’t have quick access to a wall socket or battery bank, you can improve battery life until the next recharge by temporarily switching to 2G networks.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Tap “More” under “Wireless & Networks”
    3. Tap “Mobile networks”
    4. Access “Preferred network type”
    5. Enable “2G”

    Minimize Third-Party App Usage:

NOTE: Some third-party apps perform regular background processes that can potentially affect battery life even when the apps are not actively in use. By removing or disabling unused third-party apps, you may improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Access “Apps” and make sure “All apps” is selected from the drop-down menu
    3. Tap the desired application
    4. To turn the app off, tap “Disable” / “Force stop”
    5. To remove the app from the phone, tap “Uninstall”

    Reduce Sync:

NOTE: You may improve battery life by reducing the amount of data synced by your apps and accounts.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Go to “Personal”
    3. Access “Accounts”
    4. Select an account type and the desired account
    5. Change the available settings to reduce sync

    Keep the OS Updated:

NOTE: OS updates can include improvements to battery life and thus it’s recommended to keep the OS up to date at all times. To check if new updates are available for download:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Go to “About phone” > “System updates”
    3. Verify if a new update is available
    4. If so, follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process (NOTE: the update process will require you to reboot the device at least once)
