    Back Up & Restore App Data:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Access “Backup & reset”
    3. Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data, settings, and passwords to your backup account
    4. Enable “Automatic restore” to allow app data, settings, and passwords to be restored automatically the next time you sign in with the backup account or when reinstalling applications

    Back Up & Restore Contacts:

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Go to “Accounts”
    3. Select an account type
    4. Tap the account you want to use for contact syncing
    5. Make sure “Contacts” is checked
    6. Tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”

    NOTE: Contacts backed up using this method can be automatically restored the next time you log in with the backup account or by manually syncing the account data, and contacts, with the phone.

    Back Up Media Files on a PC:

    1. Connect the phone to the PC via USB
    2. On the phone, tap “Media device” / “File Transfer” when prompted or from the Notification area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the PC
    4. Navigate to the media files on the phone storage
    5. Copy and transfer the files to the desired backup location on the PC
    6. Once done, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the phone

    Restore Media Files From a PC:

    1. Establish a USB connection between the phone and PC
    2. Enable “Media device” / ‘File transfer” on the phone
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the PC
    4. Navigate to the media file backups on the PC storage
    5. Copy and transfer the files to the phone storage, preferably in the folders from where they originate
    6. Once done, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the phone from the USB
