    Back Up & Restore App Data:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Scroll to and access “Backup & Reset”
    3. Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data, settings, and Wi-Fi passwords to your backup account
    4. Enable “Automatic restore” to allow app data, settings, and passwords to be restored automatically the next time you sign in with the backup account or when reinstalling apps

    Back Up & Restore Contacts:

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Go to “Accounts”
    3. Select an account type and the account you want to use for syncing
    4. Make sure the “Contacts” check box is ticked
    5. Tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”

    NOTE: Contacts backed up using the method above can be restored automatically the next time you sign in with the backup account.

    Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:

    1. Connect the Android phone to the PC via USB
    2. Enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” when prompted or from the Notification area
    3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media files on the phone
    5. Copy and transfer the files in the desired backup location on the PC
    6. Once done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB

    Restore Media Files from a PC:

    1. Connect the Android device to the computer via USB
    2. Enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” on the phone, either at the prompt or from the Notification area
    3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Find the media file backups on the PC
    5. Transfer the media backup files to the phone storage, preferably in the folders from where they originate
    6. Once done you can safely disconnect the phone from the USB port
