    Back Up App Data:

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Tap “Backup & Reset”
    3. Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data, Wi-Fi passwords, and settings to your backup account
    4. Enable “Automatic Restore” to allow app data, settings, and passwords to be restored automatically the next time you log in with the backup account or when reinstalling apps

    Back Up Contacts to Storage or SD Card:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Go to “Applications” > “Contacts”
    3. Tap “Import/Export contacts”
    4. Tap “Export” and select “Storage” or “SD Card”
    5. Tap “OK” to confirm

    Back Up Contacts on an Account:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Access “Accounts”
    3. Select “Google”
    4. Tap the desired account
    5. Ensure “Contacts” is checked
    6. Tap “More” > “Sync Now”

    Back Up Media Files on the SD Card:

    1. Open “My Files”
    2. Scroll to “Local storage”
    3. Tap “Device storage” > “More” > “edit”
    4. Select the media files you want to back up
    5. Tap “More” > “Copy” > “SD Card”
    6. Select the desired folder and optionally, tap “Create folder”
    7. Tap “Paste here” to confirm

    Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:

    1. Connect the Android device to the computer via USB
    2. Enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” at the prompt or form the Notification area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate and copy the media files on the phone storage
    5. Transfer the files in the desired backup location on the PC
    6. Once done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord

    Back Up Media Files on a Mac Computer:

    NOTE: If Samsung Kies is already installed on the Mac, skip the first 3 steps below:

    1. Open the Internet browser on the Mac
    2. Go to https://www.samsung.com/us/support/owners/app/kies
    3. Click “Download for Mac” and follow the prompts to install the app on the computer
    4. Next connect the phone to the Mac via USB
    5. Enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” when prompted or from the Notification area
    6. Tick the boxes next to “Photos”, “Music” and other type of files you want to back up
    7. When ready, tap “Backup” to begin the sync
    8. Once done, eject the phone storage by dragging and dropping the virtual drive from the desktop and into the Trash Can, and safely disconnect the device from the USB port
