    Back Up & Restore App Data:

    1. Launch “Settings
    2. Access “Backup & reset
    3. Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data, settings, and Wi-Fi passwords to your backup account
    4. Enable “Automatic restore” to allow app data, settings, and passwords to be automatically restored when you reinstall apps or log in with the backup account

    Back Up & Restore Contacts:

    1. Open “Settings
    2. Access “Accounts
    3. Select an account type and the account you want to use for syncing
    4. Ensure “Contacts” is checked and tap “Menu” > “Sync Now

    NOTE: You can restore contacts the next time you log in with the backup account or by manually sync the account data, and contacts, with the phone.

    Back Up Media Files on a PC:

    1. Connect the phone to the PC via USB
    2. On the phone, enable “File Transfer” / ‘Media device” at the prompt or from the Notification area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Copy and transfer the files in the desired backup location on the PC
    5. Once done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord

    Restore Media Files from a PC:

    1. Establish a USB connection between the PC and smartphone
    2. Enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” on the phone either if prompted or from the Notification area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media file backups on the PC
    5. Transfer the backup files to the phone storage, preferably in the directories from where they originate
    6. After the transfer completes, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord
