    Back Up & Restore App Data:

    1. Open “Settings” and go to “Backup & reset”
    2. Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data, passwords, and settings to your backup account
    3. Enable “Automatic restore” to allow app data, settings, and passwords to be restored automatically when signing in with the backup account or when reinstalling apps

    Back Up & Restore Contacts:

    1. Launch “Contacts”
    2. Go to “Accounts”
    3. Select an account type and the account you want to use for the backup
    4. Ensure “Contacts” is checked
    5. Tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”

    NOTE: You can restore contacts by syncing them with the phone the next time you sign in with the backup account.

    Back Up Media Files on a PC:

    1. Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB
    2. Enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” at the prompt or from the Notification area
    3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Copy and transfer the files to the desired backup location on the PC
    5. Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB port

    Restore Media Files:

    1. Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB
    2. Enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” when prompted or from the Notification area
    3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media file backups on the PC
    5. Copy and transfer the files to the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” directory
    6. Once done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB port
