    Enable Battery Saving Mode:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Go to “Personal” and tap “Power”
    3. Access “Power saver”
    4. Tick the boxes associated with the power saving options you want to enable
    5. When ready, tap the “Power saver” switch to enable the feature

Lower the Screen Brightness and Timeout Settings:

    1. Go to “Settings”
    2. Scroll to and tap “Display & Gestures”
    3. Tap “Brightness level”
    4. If necessary, disable “Adaptive brightness”
    5. Drag the brightness slider towards the left to decrease luminosity
    6. For timeout options, access “Screen timeout” and select a lower value

    Disable Unused Connectivity Features:

NOTE: You can turn the phone’s connectivity features OFF when not actively in use in order to avoid unnecessary network scans and potentially improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Go to “Settings”
    2. Tap the “Bluetooth” and “Wi-Fi” switches to turn these features OFF
    3. Access “Location” for GPS settings, then tap “Mode” and enable “Battery saving”
    4. To disable Hotspot, return to “Settings” and tap “More” under “Wireless & Networks”
    5. Tap “Mobile network sharing” and disable “Mobile Hotspot”

    Temporarily Switch to 2G Networks:

NOTE: If your phone runs low on battery and you don’t have quick access to a battery bank or wall socket, you can conserve battery life until the next recharge by temporarily switching to 2G networks.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Go to “Mobile data”
    3. Access “Network mode”
    4. Enable “GSM only”

    Minimize Third-Party App Usage:

NOTE: Certain third-party apps perform regular background processes that can potentially affect the device’s battery life even when they are not actively in use. By disabling or removing unused third-party apps, you can improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Go to “Settings”
    2. Scroll to “Phone” and tap “Apps”
    3. Switch to “Downloaded”
    4. Select the desired app
    5. To turn the app off, tap “Disable”
    6. To remove the app, tap “Uninstall” > “OK”

    Change Sync Settings:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Go to “Accounts & Sync”
    3. Select an account and change the available settings to reduce sync

    Keep the OS Updated:

NOTE: Software updates can improve battery life and thus it’s recommended to keep the OS up to date at all times. To check for updates:

    1. Go to “Settings”
    2. Scroll to and tap “About phone”
    3. Access “System updates” and tap “Check now”
    4. If available, follow the on-screen prompts to download and apply the update (the update process will require at least one reboot)
