    Lower the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

    1. On the home screen, swipe the Status bar down
    2. Drag the brightness slider towards the left to decrease brightness
    3. Open “Settings” for more options
    4. Go to “Device” > “Display”
    5. Optionally, turn “Adaptive brightness” ON or OFF
    6. Tap “Sleep” for timeout duration and select a lower value like “15 seconds”

    Enable Battery Saving Mode:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Go to “Battery”
    3. Tap “Menu”
    4. Enable “Battery saver”

    Disable Unused Connectivity Features:

    NOTE: You can disable the phone’s connectivity features when not actively in use in order to avoid unnecessary network scans and potentially improve battery life in the long run.

    1. On the home screen, swipe the Status bar down
    2. In the quick toggle area, tap the “Bluetooth”, “Location” and “Wi-Fi” quick toggles to disable the features
    3. Open “Settings” and go to “Location”
    4. Tap “Mode” and enable “Battery saving”
    5. To disable hotspot, return to “Settings” and tap “More” under “Wireless & Networks”
    6. Access “Tethering & portable hotspot” and turn the features off

    Switch to 2G Networks Temporarily:

    NOTE: If your phone runs low on battery and you don’t have quick access to a battery bank or wall socket, you can conserve energy until the next recharge by temporarily switching to 2G networks.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Tap “more” under “Wireless & Networks”
    3. Access “Mobile networks”
    4. Go to “Preferred network type”
    5. Enable “2G”

    Minimize Third-Party App Usage:

    NOTE: Some third-party apps perform regular background processes that can potentially affect the phone’s battery life even when not actively in use. You can remove or disable unused third-party apps to improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Go to “Settings’
    2. Access “Apps”
    3. Ensure “All apps” is selected
    4. Tap the desired app and tap “Force Stop” or “Disable”
    5. To remove the app from the phone, tap “Uninstall”

    Change Settings to Reduce Sync:

    NOTE: You can change your account’s settings to reduce sync and potentially improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Access “Accounts”
    3. Select an account type and an account
    4. Change the desired settings to reduce sync

    Keep the OS Up To Date:

    NOTE: OS updates can improve battery life and thus it’s recommended to keep the OS updated at all times. To check if new updates are available:

    1. Go to “Settings”
    2. Access “About phone” > “System updates”
    3. Check if new updates are available
    4. If applicable, follow the on-screen prompts to download and apply the update (NOTE: the process will require you to reboot your phone at least once)
