    Reset Network Settings:

NOTE: By resetting network settings, saved Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connections will be deleted, while data restrictive settings, background sync settings, and network selection mode will be restored to default.

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Access “General Management”
    3. Tap “Reset” > “Reset network settings”
    4. If the phone is protected by a lock screen, enter your PIN/password to proceed
    5. Tap “Reset settings” to confirm

    Soft Reset Using Hardware Keys:

NOTE: A soft reset simulates battery removal, which can be useful if the device is frozen or otherwise unresponsive. Soft resetting the device won’t affect any personal data located on the phone storage.

    1. Press and hold “Power” and “Volume down” at the same time
    2. Keep the buttons pressed for about 45 seconds
    3. Release both keys after once the phone finishes rebooting

    Hard Reset

Warning: Hard resetting the phone will result in the deletion of your personal data located on the internal memory, including media files and ringtones, contacts, downloaded content etc. Data located on the SIM card and SD storage won’t be affected.

NOTE: Before you reset the phone, you can check this thread for a guide on how to back up data, and this thread for a guide on restoring data.

    Hard Reset via Settings:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Go to “Sound and accounts”
    3. Tap “Backup and restore”
    4. Optionally, turn “Restore” and “Back up my data” ON or OFF
    5. Return to “Settings” and go to “General management”
    6. Tap “Reset” > “Factory data reset” > “Reset device”
    7. In case the phone is lock-screen protected, enter the PIN/password and tap “Continue”
    8. When ready, tap “Delete all”

    Hard Reset via Recovery:

NOTE: If your phone crashes, freezes, or otherwise prevents you from resetting it via Settings, alternatively you can try resetting the device from the Android Recovery menu which can be accessed as follows:

    1. First ensure the phone is powered Off
    2. Then, press and hold “Home” and “Volume Up” at the same time, then press and hold “Power”
    3. At the Android screen, release the buttons and wait for the Android Recovery menu
    4. In Recovery, press “Volume down” repeatedly to navigate the menu and highlight “Wipe data/factory reset”
    5. Press “Power” to select the highlighted option
    6. Press “Volume down” to highlight “Yes – delete all user data”
    7. Press “Power”
    8. Once done, highlight “Reboot system now” and press “Power” one last time to restart the phone
