    NOTE: For instructions on how to back up data on the device, check this thread.

    Restore Contacts from SD Storage:

    1. Open “Contacts”
    2. Tap “Menu”
    3. Go to “Settings”
    4. If necessary, access “Contacts to display” and switch to “All contacts”
    5. Tap “Import/Export contacts” > “Import from SD Card”
    6. Press “OK” to confirm

    Restore Media Files from SD Storage:

    1. Launch “My Files”
    2. Go to “SD card”
    3. Tap “Menu” > “Edit”
    4. Check the tick boxes associated with the media files you want to restore
    5. Tap “Menu” > “Move”
    6. Select “Internal storage” and tap “Move here”
    7. Alternatively, tap “Create folder” or the folder name in order to restore the files to a different location, then tap “Move here’

    Restore Media Files from a PC:

    1. Connect the Android device to the computer via USB
    2. On the phone, enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” at the prompt or from the Notification area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media file backups on the PC storage
    5. Copy and paste the files to the phone storage, preferably in the folders form where they originate
    6. Once done, you can safely disconnect the phone from the USB port

    Restore Media Files from a Mac:

    1. Connect the Android phone to the Mac via USB
    2. Enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” on the phone
    3. Open Kies on the Mac and access “Back up / restore”
    4. Go to the “Restore” section
    5. Check the tick boxes associated with “Music”, “Photos” and other media file types you want to restore
    6. When ready, click “Restore” and follow the on-screen prompts
    7. After the process ends, drag the phone’s virtual drive from the desktop and drop it into the trash can to eject it
    8. You can safely disconnect the device from the USB port
