    Back Up & Restore App Data:

    1. Launch “Settings
    2. Go to “Personal” and tap “Backup & Reset
    3. Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data, settings, and passwords to your backup account
    4. Enable “Automatic Restore” to allow app data, settings, and passwords to be restored automatically when logging in with the backup account or when reinstalling apps

    Back Up & Restore Contacts:

    1. Open “Settings
    2. Access “Accounts
    3. Select an account type and the desired account
    4. Make sure the “Contacts” check box is ticked
    5. Then tap “Menu” > “Sync Now

    NOTE: Contacts can be restored automatically the next time you log in with the backup account, or by manually syncing the account data, including contacts, with the device.

    Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:

    1. Connect the Android device to the computer via USB
    2. On the phone, enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” when prompted or from the Notification area
    3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Navigate to the media files on the phone
    5. Transfer the media files to the desired backup location on the computer
    6. After the transfer completes, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the phone from the USB port

    Restore Media Files from a PC:

    1. Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB
    2. On the phone, enable “Media device” / “File Transfer
    3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media backup files on the PC
    5. Copy and transfer the files to the phone storage, preferably in the folders of origin
    6. Once done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB port
