    Back Up App Data:

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Access “Cloud and accounts”
    3. Tap “Backup & Restore”
    4. Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data, settings, and passwords to your backup account
    5. Enable “Automatic Restore” to allow app data, settings, and passwords to be restored automatically when reinstalling apps or logging in with the backup account

    Back Up Contacts:

    1. Launch “Contacts”
    2. Go to “Cloud and account” > “Accounts”
    3. Select the account you want to use for the contact backup
    4. Ensure the “Contacts” check box is ticked
    5. Tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”

    Back Up Contacts to SD Storage:

    1. Open “Contacts”
    2. Tap “Menu” > “Settings”
    3. If necessary, switch to “All contacts”
    4. Tap “Import/Export”
    5. Tap “Export to SD” > “OK”

    Back Up Media Files on the Phone Storage:

    1. Open “My Files”
    2. Access “Internal storage”
    3. Tap “Menu” > “Share” and select the desired contacts
    4. Tap “Share” and select a backup location

    Back Up Media Files on a PC:

    1. Connect the Android device to the computer via USB
    2. On the phone, enable “File Transfer” / “Media device”
    3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media files on the phone storage
    5. Copy and transfer the files to the desired backup location on the PC
    6. Once done, you can safely disconnect the device from the USB cord

    Back Up Media Files on a Mac Computer:

    NOTE: Skip the first 3 steps if Samsung Kies is already installed on the Mac.

    1. Launch the Internet browser on the Mac
    2. Visit https://www.samsung.com/us/support/owners/app/kies
    3. Click “Download for Mac” and install the app
    4. Connect the Android phone to the Mac via USB
    5. Enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” on the phone
    6. Open Kies on the Mac and go to the “Back up / Restore” tab
    7. Access “Backup” and tick the check boxes associated with “Music” “Photos” and other media file types you want to back up
    8. When ready, click “Backup”
    9. Once done, eject the phone storage by dragging and dropping the phone’s virtual drive from the desktop and into the “trash can”
