    Back Up App Data:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Go to “Cloud and accounts”
    3. Tap “Backup & Restore”
    4. Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data, settings, and passwords to your backup account
    5. Enable “Automatic Restore” to allow app data, settings, and passwords to be restored automatically when reinstalling apps or signing in with the backup account

    Back Up Contacts:

    1. Open “Contacts”
    2. Access “Cloud and account”
    3. Go to “Accounts” and select an account type
    4. Tap the desired account and make sure “Contacts” is enabled
    5. When ready, tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”

    Back Up Contacts to SD Storage:

    1. Launch “Contacts”
    2. Tap “Menu” > “Settings”
    3. Switch to “All contacts” if necessary
    4. Tap “Import/Export”
    5. Select to “Export to SD” and tap “OK”

    Back Up Media Files to the Phone Storage:

    1. Open “My Files”
    2. Go to “Internal storage”
    3. Tap “Menu” > “Share”
    4. Select the desired contacts
    5. Tap “Share”
    6. Select a backup location and you’re done

    Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:

    1. Connect the Android phone to the PC via USB
    2. Enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” on the phone
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Navigate to the media files on the phone
    5. Copy and transfer the files to the desired backup location on the PC
    6. After the transfer is done, you can safely disconnect the phone from the USB port

    Back Up Media Files on a Mac Computer:

    NOTE: If Samsung Kies is already installed on the Mac, skip the first 3 steps below:

    1. Open the Internet browser on the Mac
    2. Head down to https://www.samsung.com/us/support/owners/app/kies
    3. Click “Download for Mac” and install the app on the phone
    4. Connect the Android device to the Mac via USB
    5. Enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” on the phone
    6. Launch Kies on the Mac and access “Back up / Restore”
    7. Go to “Backup” and tick the check boxes associated with “Photos” “Music” and other media file types you want to back up
    8. Click “Backup” to begin the process
    9. After the process completes, eject the phone storage by dragging the virtual drive from the desktop and dropping it into the “trash can”
    10. You can now safely disconnect the phone from the USB port
