    Disable Unused Connectivity Features:

    Switch to 2G Networks Temporarily:

NOTE: If your device runs low on battery and you don’t have quick access to a battery bank or wall socket, you can conserve energy until the next recharge by temporarily switching to 2G networks.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Tap “More” under “Wireless & Networks”
    3. Tap “Mobile networks” > “Preferred network type”
    4. Enable “2G”

    Minimize Third-Party App Usage:

NOTE: Some third-party apps perform regular background processes that can potentially affect the device’s battery life even when the apps are not actively in use. By disabling or removing unused third-party apps, you can potentially improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Access “Apps” and switch to “All apps”
    3. Select the desired application
    4. To disable the app, tap “Disable” / “Force Stop”
    5. To remove the app, tap “Uninstall”

    Change Sync Settings:

NOTE: You can change your accounts’ settings to reduce sync and potentially improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Access “Settings”
    2. Go to “Accounts” under “Personal”
    3. Select an account type and the desired account
    4. Change the available settings to reduce sync

    Keep the OS Updated:

NOTE: OS updates can provide improvements to battery life and thus it’s recommended to keep the OS up to date at all times. To check if new updates are available:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Go to “About phone”
    3. Tap “System updates”
    4. Check if a new update is available for download
    5. If applicable, follow the on-screen prompts to download and install the update (NOTE: the process will require you to reboot the phone at least once)
