    Back Up App Data:

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Access “Cloud and accounts”
    3. Tap “Backup & Restore”
    4. Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data, settings, and passwords to your backup account
    5. Enable “Automatic Restore” to allow app data, settings, and passwords to be restored automatically the next time you log in with the backup account or when reinstalling apps

    Back Up Contacts:

    1. Open “Contacts”
    2. Go to “Cloud and account”
    3. Access “Accounts” and select an account type
    4. Tap the account you want to use for the backup
    5. Ensure “Contacts” is checked then tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”

    Back Up Contacts to SD Storage:

    1. Open “Contacts”
    2. Tap “Menu”
    3. Access “Settings”
    4. If necessary, switch to “All contacts”
    5. Tap “Import/Export” and select to “Export to SD”
    6. Tap “OK”

    Back Up Media Files to the Phone Storage:

    1. Launch “My Files”
    2. Access “Internal storage”
    3. Tap “Menu” > “Share”
    4. Select the desired contacts and tap “Share”
    5. Lastly select a backup location

    Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:

    1. Connect the Android device to the computer via USB
    2. On the phone, enable “Media device” / “File Transfer”
    3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media files on the phone
    5. Copy and paste the files to the desired backup location on the computer
    6. Once done, you can safely disconnect the device from the USB port

    Back Up Media Files on a Mac:

    NOTE: If Samsung Kies is already installed on the Mac, skip the first 3 steps below:

    1. Launch the Internet browser on the Mac
    2. Visit https://www.samsung.com/us/support/owners/app/kies
    3. Click “Download for Mac” and install the app on the computer
    4. Next, connect the Android phone to the Mac via USB
    5. Enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” on the phone
    6. Launch Kies on the Mac
    7. Go to “Back up / Restore”
    8. Access “Backup” and tick the boxes associated with “Music” “Photos” and other media file types you want to back up
    9. Click “Backup” to start the process
    10. Once the process ends, eject the phone storage by dragging and dropping the virtual drive from the desktop and into the “Trash can”
    11. You can safely disconnect the device from the USB port
