Back Up & Restore App Data:

1. Open “Settings” and go to “Personal”
2. Tap “Backup & reset”
3. Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data, settings, and Wi-Fi passwords to your backup account
4. Enable “Automatic Restore” to allow app data, passwords, and settings to be restored automatically when reinstalling apps or when signing in with the backup account

Back Up & Restore Contacts:

1. Launch “Settings”
2. Go to “Accounts”
3. Select an account type and the desired account to use for contact syncing
4. Make sure the “Contacts” is checked and tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”

NOTE: Contacts can be automatically restored the next time you sign in with the backup account or by manually syncing the account data, and contacts, with the phone.

Back Up Media Files on a PC:

1. Connect the Android device to the computer via USB
2. Open “Media device” / “File Transfer” at the prompt or from the Notification area
3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
4. Locate the media files on the phone
5. Copy and transfer the files to the desired backup location on the PC
6. Once done, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the device from the USB port

Restore Media Files from a PC:

1. Connect the Android device to the computer via USB
2. On the phone, enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” at the prompt or from the Notification area
3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
4. Navigate to the media file backups on the PC
5. Copy and paste the files to the phone storage, preferably in the folders of origin
6. Once done, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the device from the USB port
