    Back Up & Restore App Data:

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Scroll to and tap “Backup & reset”
    3. Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data, settings, and Wi-Fi passwords to your backup account
    4. Enable “Automatic Restore” to allow app data, settings, and passwords to be restored automatically the next time you sign in with the backup account or reinstall apps

    Back Up & Restore Contacts:

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Go to “Accounts”
    3. Select an account you want to use for contact syncing
    4. Make sure “Contacts” is checked
    5. Tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”

    NOTE: Contacts can be restored the next time you sign in with the backup account or by manually syncing them with the phone.

    Back Up Media Files on a PC:

    1. Connect the Android phone to the PC via USB
    2. Enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” when prompted or from the Notification area
    3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media files on the phone storage
    5. Copy and transfer the files to the desired backup location on the PC
    6. Once done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord

    Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:

    1. Connect the Android device to the computer via USB
    2. Enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” at the prompt or from the Notification area
    3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media file backups on the PC
    5. Copy and paste the backup files to the phone storage, preferably in the folders from where they originate
    6. Once done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB port
