    NOTE: You can check this thread for instructions on how to back up app data, contacts, and media files on the phone.

    Restore Contacts from SD Storage:

    1. Launch “Contacts”
    2. Tap “Menu” > “Settings”
    3. Tap “Contacts to display”
    4. Select “All contacts”
    5. Tap “Import/Export contacts” > “Import from SD card”
    6. Tap “OK”

    Restore Media Files from SD Storage:

    1. Open “My Files”
    2. Access “SD Card” and tap “Menu” > “Edit”
    3. Tick the boxes linked with the media files you want to restore
    4. Tap “Menu” > “Move” > “Internal storage”
    5. Tap “Move here” or tap “Create folder” or the folder name to restore the files to a different location
    6. Tap “Move here”

    Restore Media Files from a PC:

    1. Connect the Android phone to the PC via USB
    2. On the phone, enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” when prompted or from the Notification area
    3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media file backups on the PC
    5. Copy and transfer the files to the phone storage, preferably in the folders from where they originate
    6. Once the transfer completes, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB port

    Restore Media Files from a Mac Computer:

    1. Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB
    2. Enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” when prompted or from the Notification area
    3. Launch Kies on the Mac
    4. Access “Back up / Restore” and go to the “Restore” tab
    5. Tick the boxes linked with “Photos” “Music” and other file types you want to restore
    6. Click “Restore” and follow the prompts to complete the process
    7. After the transfer is done, drag the virtual drive from the desktop and drop it over the trash can to eject it
    8. Safely disconnect the phone from the USB port
