    Back Up App Data:

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Access “Cloud and accounts”
    3. Tap “Backup & Restore”
    4. Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data, settings, and Wi-Fi passwords to your backup account
    5. Enable “Automatic Restore” to allow app data, settings, and passwords to be restored automatically the next time you log in with the backup account or when reinstalling apps

    Back Up Contacts:

    1. Open “Contacts”
    2. Go to “Cloud and accounts”
    3. Access” Accounts’
    4. Select an account type and the desired account to use for contact syncing
    5. Ensure the “Contacts” check box is ticked
    6. Tap “Menu’ > “Sync Now”

    Back Up Contacts to SD or Internal Storage:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Tap “Applications”
    3. Tap “Contacts”
    4. Select to “Import/Export” contacts
    5. Tap “Export” and select “SD card” or “Storage”
    6. Tap “OK”

    Back Up Media Files to SD Storage:

    1. Launch “My Files”
    2. Access “Local storage”
    3. Tap “Device storage”
    4. Tap “More” > “Edit”
    5. Select the media files you want to back up
    6. Tap “More” > “Copy” > “SD card”
    7. Select the desired folder or tap “Create folder”
    8. Tap “Paste here”

    Back Up Media Files on a Windows Computer:

    1. Connect the Android phone to the PC via USB
    2. On the phone, enable “File Transfer” / “Media device’ when prompted or from the Notification area
    3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate and copy the media files on the phone storage
    5. Paste the files to the desired backup location on the PC
    6. After the transfer completes, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB port

    Back Up Media Files on a Mac Computer:

    NOTE: If Samsung Kies is already installed on the Mac, skip the first 3 steps below.

    1. Open the Internet browser on the Mac
    2. Visit https://www.samsung.com/us/support/owners/app/kies
    3. Click “Download for Mac” and follow the on-screen steps to install the app on the Mac
    4. Connect the phone to the Mac via USB
    5. On the phone, enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” at the prompt or from the Notification area
    6. Tick the boxes associated with “Music” “Photos” and other media file types you want to back up
    7. Tap “Backup” to start the process
    8. Once done, eject the phone storage by dragging its virtual drive from the desktop and dropping it over the “trash can”
    9. You can safely disconnect the phone from the USB port
