    Back Up & Restore App Data:

    1. Launch “Settings
    2. Go to “Personal
    3. Tap “Backup & reset
    4. Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data, Wi-Fi passwords, and settings to your backup account
    5. Enable “Automatic Restore” to allow app data, settings, and passwords to be restored automatically when you sign in with the backup account or reinstall apps

    Back Up & Restore Contacts:

    1. Open “Settings
    2. Go to “Accounts
    3. Select an account type
    4. Select the desired account for contact syncing
    5. Ensure “Contacts” is checked
    6. Tap “Menu” > “Sync Now

    NOTE: Contacts backed up this way can be automatically restored the next time you log in with the backup account or by manually syncing the account data – and contacts – with the device.

    Back Up Media Files on a PC:

    1. Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB
    2. On the phone, enable “File Transfer” / ‘Media device” when prompted or from the Notification area
    3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media files on the phone storage
    5. Copy and transfer the files to the desired backup location on the PC
    6. Once done, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the device from the USB port

    Restore Media Files from a PC:

    1. Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB
    2. On the phone, enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” when prompted or from the Notification area
    3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media backup files on the PC
    5. Copy and paste the files to the phone storage, preferably in the folders from where they originate
    6. Once done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord
