    Enable Battery Saving Mode:

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Go to “Device”
    3. Tap “Battery”
    4. Tap “Menu” and enable “Battery saver”

Lower the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

    1. On the home screen, swipe the Status bar down
    2. Drag the brightness slider towards the left to decrease luminosity
    3. Open “Settings” and go to “Display”
    4. Turn “Adaptive brightness” ON or OFF depending on your preferences
    5. For timeout settings, tap “Sleep” and select a lower value like “15 seconds”

    Disable Unused Connectivity Features:

NOTE: You can disable the device’s connectivity features when they are not actively in use, including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Hotspot, and GPS, to avoid unnecessary network scans and potentially improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Swipe the Status bar down on the home screen
    2. Tap the “Wi-Fi” “Bluetooth” and “Location” quick toggles to disable the features
    3. Open “Settings” for more options
    4. Access “Location”
    5. Tap “Mode” and enable “Battery saving’
    6. Return to “Settings” and tap “More” under “Wireless & Networks”
    7. Tap “Tethering & portable hotspot” and disable the features

    Temporarily Switch to 2G Networks:

NOTE: If your device runs low on battery and you don’t have quick access to a battery bank or wall socket, you can conserve energy until the next recharge by temporarily switching to 2G networks.

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Tap “More” under “Wireless & Networks”
    3. Tap “Mobile networks”
    4. Access “Preferred network type” and enable “2G”

    Minimize Third-Party App Usage:

NOTE: Third-party applications can perform regular background processes which can potentially affect battery life even when the apps are not actively in use. You can disable or remove unused third-party apps from the device to potentially improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Go to “Apps”
    3. Select “All apps”
    4. Tap the desired app
    5. To disable the app, tap “Force Stop” / “Disable”
    6. To remove the app, tap “Uninstall”

    Change Sync Settings:

NOTE: You may improve battery life in the long run by changing your accounts settings to reduce sync.

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Go to “Accounts”
    3. Select an account type and the desired account
    4. Change the available settings to reduce sync as desired

    Keep the OS Updated:

NOTE: OS updates can improve the battery and thus it’s recommended to keep the OS up to date at all times. To check if new updates are available:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Go to “About phone”
    3. Tap “System updates”
    4. Check if new updates are available
    5. If applicable, follow the on-screen prompts to download and apply the update (the process will require at least one reboot)
