    Back Up & Restore App Data:

    1. Launch “Settings
    2. Go to “Personal” and tap “Backup & reset
    3. Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data, settings, and Wi-Fi passwords to your backup account
    4. Enable “Automatic Restore” to allow app data, settings, and passwords to be restored automatically the next time you log in with the backup account or when reinstalling apps

    Back Up & Restore Contacts:

    1. Open “Settings
    2. Access “Accounts
    3. Select an account type
    4. Tap the account you want to use for contact syncing
    5. Make sure the “Contacts” tick box is checked
    6. Tap “Menu” > “Sync Now

    NOTE: Contacts backed up using this method can be automatically restored when logging in with the backup account or by manually syncing the account data – and contacts – with the phone.

    Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:

    1. Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB
    2. Enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” when prompted or from the Notification area
    3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media files on the phone storage
    5. Copy and paste the files to the desired backup location on the computer
    6. After the process completes, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB port

    Restore Media Files from a PC:

    1. Connect the Android device to the computer via USB
    2. On the phone, enable “File Transfer” / ‘Media device” at the prompt or from the Notification area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media backup files on the PC
    5. Copy and transfer the files to the phone storage, preferably in the directories of origin
    6. Once done, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the device from the USB port
