    Clear App Cache/Data:

NOTE: If one of your apps doesn’t work as intended or takes up too much storage inexplicably, you can try fixing it by clearing its cache/data.

WARNING! When you clear an app’s data, all your personal data stored within the app will be deleted. This includes user profiles, settings and save files, credit card and login information etc. To avoid losing personal app data, clear ONLY the cache.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Access the “General” tab
    3. Scroll to and access “Apps”
    4. Select the desired app and tap “Storage”
    5. Tap “Clear cache”
    6. If clearing the cache didn’t help, tap “Clear data” > “OK” (check the WARNING above)

    Clear the Cache Partition:

NOTE: If your device crashes, freezes, runs out of storage inexplicably or otherwise doesn’t work as intended and you’re considering factory resetting it, you can try solving these issues by clearing the cache partition. This can yield results similar to a factory reset without losing personal data on the phone.

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Go to “Phone Management”
    3. Tap “Storage” > “Internal storage”
    4. Wait for the device to finish calculating the data
    5. Then tap “Cached data” > “Clear”

NOTE: If clearing the cache didn’t help, you can check this thread for a guide on how to factory reset the phone.

Enable Safe Mode and Remove an App:

NOTE: if you have installed a third-party app that causes problems and prevents you from removing it, you can uninstall the app in Safe Mode where all third-party apps are disabled by default.

    1. Press and hold “Power” while viewing the home screen
    2. From the power management pop-up, tap and hold “Power off”
    3. At the “Restart in Safe Mode” prompt tap “OK”
    4. After the device reboots, a “Safe Mode” watermark should be shown in the lower area o fthe home screen
    5. To remove an app first open “Settings”
    6. Then go to “Phone management” and tap “Apps”
    7. Select “all apps” and tap the desired application
    8. Tap “Uninstall” > “OK”
    9. Once done, you can exit Safe Mode by rebooting your phone as you would usually do
