    Enable Battery Saving Mode:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Access “Device”
    3. Tap “Battery” > “Menu”
    4. Enable “Battery saver”

Lower the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

    1. On the home screen, swipe the Status bar down
    2. Drag the brightness slider towards the left to decrease luminosity
    3. Open “Settings”
    4. Go to “Display” and optionally enable or disable “Adaptive brightness”
    5. For timeout duration, tap “Sleep” and select a lower value like “15 seconds”

    Disable Unused Connectivity Features:

NOTE: You can disable the phone’s connectivity features when not actively in use, including Wi-Fi, Hotspot, GPS, and Bluetooth, to avoid unnecessary network scans and potentially improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Swipe the Status bar down on the home screen
    2. Tap the “Wi-Fi” “Bluetooth” and “Location” quick toggles to turn the features Off
    3. Open “Settings” and access “Location”
    4. Tap “Mode” and enable “Battery saving”
    5. Return to “Settings” and tap “More” under “Wireless & Networks”
    6. Tap “Tethering & Portable hotspot” and turn the features Off

    Switch to 2G Networks Temporarily:

NOTE: If your phone runs low on battery and you don’t have quick access to a battery bank or wall socket, you can conserve energy until the next recharge by temporarily switching to 2G networks.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Tap “More” under “Wireless & Networks”
    3. Go to “Mobile networks”
    4. Tap “Preferred network type”
    5. Enable “2G”

    Change Sync Settings:

NOTE: You might improve battery life in the long run by reducing the amount of data being synced by your apps/accounts. To do this:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Access “Accounts”
    3. Tap the desired account type
    4. Select an account and change the available settings to reduce sync as desired

    Minimize Third-Party App Usage:

NOTE: Some third-party apps perform regular background processes which can potentially affect the phone’s battery life even when the apps are not actively in use. By removing or disabling unused third-party apps from the device you may improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Access “Apps” > “All apps”
    3. Select the desired app
    4. To turn the app off, tap “Disable” / “Force Stop”
    5. To remove the app, tap “Uninstall”

    Keep the OS Updated:

NOTE: OS updates can improve battery life and thus it’s recommended to keep the OS up to date at all times.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Go to “About phone” > “System updates”
    3. Check if new updates are available
    4. If applicable, follow the on-screen prompts to download and install the update (the process will require you to reboot the phone at least once)
