    Back Up & Restore App Data:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Access “Personal” > “Backup & Reset”
    3. Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data, settings, and Wi-Fi passwords to your backup account
    4. Enable “Automatic Restore” to allow app data, settings, and passwords to be restored automatically the next time you log in with the backup account or when reinstalling the applications

    Back Up & Restore Contacts:

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Go to “Accounts”
    3. Select an account type
    4. Select the desired account for contact syncing
    5. Ensure the “Contacts” check box is ticked then tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”

    NOTE: Contacts backed up using this method can be restored automatically the next time you log in with the backup account or by manually syncing the account data, and contacts, with the Android phone.

    Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:

    1. Connect the Android device to the computer via USB
    2. On the phone, enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” at the prompt or from the Notification area
    3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media files on the phone storage
    5. Copy and transfer the files to the desired backup location on the computer
    6. Once the transfer completes, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the device from the USB port

    Restore Media Files from a PC:

    1. Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB
    2. On the phone, enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” when prompted or from the Notification area
    3. Open the File Explorer on the computer and locate the media file backups
    4. Copy and transfer the files to the phone storage, preferably in the folders from where they originate
    5. Once the transfer completes, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord
