    Back Up & Restore App Data:

    1. Launch “Settings” and go to “Personal’
    2. Tap “Backup & Reset”
    3. Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data, settings, and passwords to your backup account
    4. Enable “Automatic Restore” to allow app data, settings, and passwords to be automatically restored when reinstalling apps or when signing in with the backup account

    Back Up & Restore Contacts:

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Go to “Accounts”
    3. Select an account type
    4. Tap the desired account to use for contact syncing
    5. Ensure “Contacts” is checked then tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”

    NOTE: Contacts backed up using this method can be automatically restored the next time you log in with the backup account or by manually syncing the account data with the device.

    Back Up Media Files on a PC:

    1. Connect the Android device to the computer via USB
    2. On the phone, enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” when prompted or from the Notification area
    3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Navigate to the media files on the phone
    5. Copy and paste the files to the desired backup location on the computer
    6. When the process completes, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord

    Restore Media Files from a PC:

    1. Establish a USB connection between the Android device and PC
    2. On the phone, enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” at the prompt or from the Notification area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Copy and paste the backup files to the phone storage, preferably in the folders from where they originate
    5. After the process completes, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the device from the USB port
