Lower the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Access “Display & Gestures”
    3. Tap “Brightness level” and optionally you can disable “adaptive brightness”
    4. Drag the brightness slider towards the left
    5. For timeout options access “Screen timeout” and select a lower value

    Disable Unused Connectivity Features:

NOTE: You can potentially improve battery life by disabling the phone’s connectivity features when not actively in use, including Wi-Fi, Hotspot, GPS, and Bluetooth. This can avoid unnecessary network scans.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Tap the “Bluetooth” and “Wi-Fi” switches to turn the features off
    3. Go to “Location” for GPS options and tap “mode” > “Battery saving”
    4. For hotspot options, go back to “Settings” and tap “More” under “Wireless & Networks”
    5. Tap “Mobile network sharing”
    6. Disable “Mobile hotspot”

    Enable Battery Saving Mode:

    1. Open “Settings” and go to “Personal”
    2. Tap “Power” > “Power saver”
    3. Tick the boxes associated with the power saving options you want to enable
    4. Tap the “Power saver” switch ON

    Switch to 2G Networks Temporarily:

NOTE: if your phone runs low on battery, you can conserve energy until the next recharge by temporarily switching to 2G networks.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Go to “Mobile data”
    3. Tap “network mode” and enable “GSM only”

    Change Sync Settings:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Access “Accounts & Sync”
    3. Select an account
    4. Change the available settings to minimize sync as desired

    Minimize Third-Party App Usage:

NOTE: Some third-party apps perform regular background processes that can potentially affect the device’s battery life even when the apps are not actively in use. By disabling or removing unused third-party apps, you may improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Go to “Apps” and if necessary, switch to “Downloaded”
    3. Select the desired app
    4. Tap “Disable”
    5. To remove the app, tap “Uninstall” > “OK”

Keep the OS Up To Date:

NOTE: OS updates can improve battery life and thus it’s recommended to keep the OS up to date at all times.

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Access “About phone” > “System updates”
    3. Tap “Check now”
    4. If new updates are available, follow the prompts to download and apply them. Note that the update process will require to reboot the phone at least once
