    Thanks for sharing these steps.

Clearing app cache of individual apps is very helpful. A few days back, I've used it on Facebook and Instagram apps.

It helped to get around 2 GB of free spaced. I've not performed any kind of cleanliness since I've purchased this smartphone.

Apart from your steps, the following guide helped me a lot:

    techshali.com/delete-cache-samsung-galaxy-j6/

And your safe mode method is very helpful. Thanks to this guide, I'm using my phone without any issue.

    Thanks!

    Clear App Cache/Data:

NOTE: If one of your apps causes problems or takes up too much storage inexplicably, you can try fixing these issues by clearing the app’s cache and/or data.

WARNING! When you clear an app’s data, all your personal data stored within the app, including user profiles, save files, login information etc. will be deleted. To avoid losing personal app data, clear ONLY the app’s cache.

    1. Open “Settings
    2. Go to “Application
    3. Tap “Application manager” and go to “All” or “Downloaded
    4. Select the desired app and tap “Clear cache
    5. If clearing the app’s cache didn’t help, tap “Clear data” > “OK” (check WARNING above)

    Wipe the Cache Partition:

NOTE: If your phone crashes, freezes, runs out of storage inexplicably or otherwise doesn’t work as intended and you’re considering factory resetting it, you can alternatively try and solve these issues by clearing the phone’s cache partition. This can have results similar to a factory reset, without losing personal data from the phone storage.

    1. Turn the phone off if necessary
    2. Press and hold “Power” “Home” and “Volume Up” simultaneously
    3. At the “Samsung” logo, release “Power
    4. At the “Android” screen, release the other buttons as well
    5. Once in Android Recovery, press “Volume down” repeatedly to highlight “Wipe cache partition
    6. Press “Power” to select the option
    7. Once the cache partition is cleared, ensure “Reboot system now” is highlighted
    8. Press “Power” one last time

NOTE: If clearing the cache partition didn’t help, you can check this thread for a guide on how to factory reset the device instead.

Reboot in Safe Mode and Remove an App:

NOTE: If one of your third-party apps causes issues and prevents you from removing it, you should be able to remove the app while in Safe Mode. In this mode, all third-party apps are disabled by default.

    1. Turn the phone Off
    2. Press and hold “Power
    3. At the “Samsung” logo release “Power” and immediately press and hold “Volume down” instead
    4. Wait for the phone to reboot. Once done, it should display a “Safe Mode” watermark in the lower area of the home screen
    5. To remove an app, go to “Settings” > “Applications
    6. Access “Application manager” and select “Downloaded
    7. Select the app you want to remove and tap “Uninstall
    8. Once done, exit Safe Mode by rebooting your device as you would normally do
