    Enable Battery Saving Mode:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Go to “Battery”
    3. Tap “menu”
    4. Enable “Battery saver”

    Lower the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

    1. Swipe the Status bar down on the home screen
    2. Drag the brightness slider towards the left to decrease luminosity
    3. Open “Settings” and access “Display”
    4. Optionally, enable or disable “Adaptive brightness”
    5. Tap “Sleep” for timeout options
    6. Select a lower value

    Disable Unused Connectivity Features:

    NOTE: You can turn your connectivity features’ off when not actively in use, such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Hotspot, and GPS, to avoid unnecessary network scans and potentially improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Swipe the Status bar down on the home screen
    2. Tap the “Wi-Fi” “Bluetooth” and “Location” quick toggles to turn the features Off
    3. Open “Settings”
    4. Access “Location”
    5. Tap “Mode” and enable “Battery saving”
    6. For hotspot options, return to “Settings” and tap “More” under “Wireless & Networks”
    7. Tap “Tethering & Portable hotspot” and disable the feature

    Switch to 2G Networks Temporarily:

    NOTE: If your phone runs low on battery and you don’t have quick access to a battery bank or wall socket, you can conserve energy until the next recharge by temporarily switching to 2G networks.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Tap “More” under “Wireless & networks”
    3. Access “Mobile network” > “Preferred network type”
    4. Enable “2G”

    Minimize Third-Party App Usage:

    NOTE: Some third-party apps perform regular background processes that can potentially affect the phone’s battery life even when the apps are not actively in use. By disabling or remove unused third-party apps from the phone, you can potentially improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Go to “Apps”
    3. If necessary, switch to “All apps” in the drop-down menu
    4. Then select the desired application
    5. To turn the app off, tap “Disable” / “Force Stop’
    6. To remove the app, tap “Uninstall”

    Change Sync Settings:

    NOTE: You can change your accounts’ settings to reduce sync and potentially improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Access “Accounts”
    3. Select an account type and the desired account
    4. Change the available sync settings to reduce sync as desired

    Keep the OS Updated:

    NOTE: OS updates can offer battery life improvements and thus it’s recommended to keep the OS updated at all times.

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Go to “About phone”
    3. Tap “System updates”
    4. Check if new updates are available for download
    5. If applicable, follow the on-screen prompts to download and apply the update (the process will require at least one reboot)
