    Enable Battery Saving Mode:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Go to “Device”
    3. Tap “Battery” > “Menu”
    4. Enable “Battery saver”

Lower the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

    1. Swipe the Status bar down on the home screen
    2. Drag the brightness slider towards the left
    3. For more options go to “Settings”
    4. Tap “Display” and optionally, enable or disable “Adaptive brightness”
    5. For timeout settings, tap “Sleep” and select a lower value like “15 seconds”

    Disable Unused Connectivity Features:

NOTE: You can disable the phone’s connectivity features when not in use, such as Wi-Fi, Location, Hotspot, and Bluetooth, to avoid unnecessary network scans and potentially improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Swipe the Status bar down on the home screen
    2. Tap the “Wi-Fi” “Bluetooth” and “Location” quick toggles to disable the features
    3. Open “Settings” and go to “Location” for GPS options
    4. Tap “Mode” > “Battery saving”
    5. Go back to “Settings” and tap “More” under “Wireless & networks”
    6. Tap “Tethering & portable hotspot”
    7. Turn the feature Off

    Temporarily Switch to 2G Networks:

NOTE: If your phone runs low on battery and you don’t have quick access to a battery bank or wall socket, you can conserve energy until the next recharge by temporarily switch to 2G networks.

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Tap “more” under “Wireless & Networks”
    3. Tap “Mobile networks”
    4. GO to “Preferred network type” and enable “2G”

    Minimize Third-Party App Usage:

NOTE: Some third-party apps perform regular background processes which can potentially affect the device’s battery life even when the apps are not actively in use. By removing or disabling the phone’s connectivity features when not actively in use, you can potentially improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Access “Apps”
    3. Go to “All apps’ and select the desired app
    4. Tap “Force Stop” / “Disable”
    5. To remove an app from the device, tap “Uninstall”

    Change Sync Settings:

NOTE: You can change your accounts’ settings to reduce sync and potentially improve battery life.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Access “Accounts”
    3. Select an account type and an account
    4. Change the available settings to reduce sync as desired

    Keep the OS Updated:

NOTE: OS updates can improve battery life and thus it’s recommended to keep the OS up to date at all times. To check for updates:

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Go to “About phone”
    3. Tap “System updates”
    4. Check if new updates are available
    5. If available, follow the prompts to download and apply the updates (note that the update process will require at least one reboot)
