    Back Up and Restore App Data:

    1. Launch “Settings
    2. Go to “Personal” and tap “Backup & reset
    3. Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data, settings, and passwords to your Google account
    4. Enable “Automatic restore” to allow app data, settings, and passwords to be restored automatically when reinstalling apps or logging in with the backup account

    Back Up & Restore Contacts:

    1. Open “Settings
    2. Go to “Accounts
    3. Select an account type and the account you want to use for backing up contacts
    4. Make sure “Contacts” is checked
    5. Tap “Menu” > “Sync Now

    NOTE: The contacts can be restored the next time you log in with the backup account.

    Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:

    1. Connect the Android device to the computer via USB
    2. Enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” at the prompt or from the “Notification” area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Copy and paste the files to the desired backup location on the computer
    5. Once done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB port

    Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:

    1. Establish a USB connection between the Android phone and PC
    2. Enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” at the prompt or from the “Notification” area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media backup files on the PC
    5. Copy and paste the files to the phone storage preferably in the folder(s) of origin
    6. Once done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord
