    Back Up & Restore App Data:

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Go to “Personal” and tap “Backup & reset”
    3. Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data, settings, and Wi-Fi passwords to your Google account
    4. Enable “Automatic Restore” to allow app data, settings, and passwords to be restored automatically when reinstalling apps or signing in with the backup account

    Back Up & Restore Contacts:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Go to “Accounts” and select an account type
    3. Tap the account you want to use for contact syncing
    4. Ensure “Contacts” is checked
    5. Tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”

    NOTE: The contacts can be automatically restored the next time you log in with the backup account.

    Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:

    1. Connect the Android device to the computer via USB
    2. Enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” at the prompt or from the Notification area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Copy and paste the files to the desired backup location on the PC
    5. After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the device from the USB port

    Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:

    1. Connect the Android device to the PC via USB
    2. Enable “File Transfer” / ‘Media device” at the prompt or from the Notification area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the PC
    4. Locate the media backup files on the computer
    5. Copy and paste the files to the phone storage, preferably in the folders of origin
    6. Once done, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the device from the USB port
