    Back Up & Restore App Data:

    1. Open “Settings” and go to “Personal”
    2. Tap “Backup & Reset”
    3. Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data, settings, and Wi-Fi passwords to your backup account
    4. Enable “Automatic Restore” to allow app data, Wi-Fi passwords, and settings to be restored automatically the next time you log in with the backup account or when reinstalling apps

    Back Up & Restore Contacts:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Go to “Accounts” and select an account type
    3. Select the desired account
    4. Make sure “Contacts” is checked
    5. Tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”

    NOTE: Contacts can be automatically restored the next time you sign in with the backup account or by manually syncing the account data, and contacts, with the Android phone.

    Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:

    1. Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB
    2. On the phone, enable “File Transfer” / ‘Media device” when prompted or from the Notification area
    3. Open the File Explorer on the PC
    4. Locate the media files on the phone
    5. Copy and transfer the files to the desired backup location on the PC
    6. Once done, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord

    Restore Media Files from a PC:

    1. Connect the Android device to the computer via USB
    2. On the phone, enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” at the prompt or from the Notification area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media backup files on the computer
    5. Copy and paste the files to the phone storage, preferably in the folders of origin
    6. Once done, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the device from the USB port
