    Back Up & Restore App Data:

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Access “Personal”
    3. Tap “Backup & Reset”
    4. Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data, Wi-Fi passwords, and settings to your account
    5. Enable “Automatic Restore” to allow app data, settings, and Wi-Fi passwords to be restored automatically when reinstalling apps or when signing in with the backup account

    Back Up & Restore Contacts:

    1. Open “Settings” and go to “Accounts”
    2. Select an account type
    3. Tap the desired account
    4. Ensure “Contacts” is checked and tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”

    NOTE: Contacts can be restored automatically the next time you log in with the backup account or by manually syncing the account data, and contacts, with the Android device.

    Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:

    1. Connect the Android device to the PC via USB
    2. Enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” on the phone, at the prompt or from the Notification shade
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Navigate to the media files on the phone
    5. Copy and transfer the files to the desired backup location on the PC
    6. After the transfer completes, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the phone from the USB port

    Restore Media Files from a PC:

    1. Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB
    2. On the phone, enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” when prompted or from the Notification area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the PC
    4. Locate the media backup files on the PC
    5. Copy and transfer the files to the phone storage, preferably in the folders of origin
    6. Once done, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord
