    Enable Battery Saving Mode:

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Go to “Device”
    3. Tap “Battery”
    4. Tap “Menu” and enable “Battery saver”

Lower the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

    1. On the home screen, swipe the Status bar down
    2. Drag the brightness slider towards the left
    3. Open “Settings” for more options
    4. Go to “Display” and optionally, enable or disable “Adaptive brightness”
    5. Tap “Sleep” for timeout options and select a lower value like “15 seconds”

    Disable Unused Connectivity Features:

NOTE: You can turn the phone’s connectivity features Off when they are not actively in use to avoid unnecessary network scans and potentially improve battery life.

    1. Swipe the Status bar down on the home screen
    2. Tap the “Bluetooth” “Location” (GPS) and “Wi-Fi” quick toggles to turn the features Off
    3. Open “Settings”
    4. Access “Location” and tap “Mode”
    5. Enable “Battery saving”
    6. Go back to “Settings” and tap “More” under “Wireless & Networks”
    7. Disable “Tethering & mobile hotspot”

    Switch to 2G Networks:

NOTE: If the phone runs low on battery and you don’t have quick access to a battery bank or wall socket, you can conserve energy until the next recharge by temporarily switching to 2G networks.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Tap “More” under “Wireless & networks”
    3. Tap “Mobile networks”
    4. Go to “Preferred network type”
    5. Enable “2G”

    Minimize Third-Party App Usage:

NOTE: Some third-party apps perform regular background processes which can potentially affect the device’s battery life even when not actively in use. By removing or disabling unused third-party apps you may improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Go to “Apps”
    3. Switch to “All apps” or “Downloaded”
    4. Select the desired application
    5. To turn the app off, tap “Disable” / “Force Stop”
    6. To remove the app, tap “Uninstall”

    Change Sync Settings:

NOTE: You can change the accounts’ settings to reduce sync and potentially improve battery life.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Go to “Accounts” and select an account type
    3. Select an account
    4. Change the available sync options as desired

Keep the OS Up To Date:

NOTE: OS updates can provide battery life improvements and thus it’s recommended to keep the OS up to date at all times.

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Access “About phone”
    3. Tap “System updates”
    4. Check if new updates are available
    5. If applicable, follow the on-screen prompts to download and apply the update
