    Disable Unused Connectivity Features:

NOTE: You can disable the phone’s connectivity features when they are not actively in use, such as Wi-Fi, Hotspot, Bluetooth, and GPS to avoid unnecessary network scans and potentially improve battery life.

    1. Swipe the Status bar down on the home screen

    3. Open “Settings” and access “Location”

    Switch to 2G Networks Temporarily:

NOTE: If your phone runs low on battery and you don’t have quick access to a battery bank or wall socket, you can conserve energy until the next recharge by temporarily switching to 2G networks.

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Tap “More” under “Wireless & networks”
    3. Access ‘Mobile networks”
    4. Tap “Preferred network type” and enable “2G”

    Minimize Third-Party App Usage:

NOTE: Some third-party apps perform regular background processes which can potentially affect the phone’s battery life even when the apps are not actively in use. As such you might improve battery life by removing or disabling unused third-party apps.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Access “Apps” and if necessary switch to “All apps” or “Downloaded”
    3. Select the desired app
    4. To turn the app off, tap “Disable” / “Force Stop”
    5. To remove the app, tap “Uninstall”

    Change Sync Settings:

NOTE: You can change your accounts’ settings to reduce sync and potentially improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Go to “Accounts”
    3. Select an account type and the desired account
    4. Change the available settings to reduce sync as desired

    Keep the OS Updated:

NOTE: OS updates can improve battery life and it’s recommended to keep the OS updated at all times.

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Go to “About phone”
    3. Tap “System updates”
    4. Check if new updates are available
    5. If applicable, follow the on-screen prompts to download and install the update(s)
