    Back Up & Restore App Data:

    1. Open Settings
    2. Go to Personal and tap Backup & Reset
    3. Enable Back up my data to back up app data, Wi-Fi passwords, and settings to your backup account
    4. Enable Automatic Restore to allow app data, settings, and passwords to be automatically restored the next time you log in with the backup account or reinstall apps

    Back Up & Restore Contacts:

    1. Open Settings
    2. Go to Accounts
    3. Select an account type
    4. Tap the desired account
    5. Ensure Contacts is checked
    6. Tap Menu > Sync Now

    NOTE: Contacts can be restored automatically the next time you log in with the backup account or by manually syncing the account data with the phone.

    Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:

    1. Connect the Android phone to the PC via USB
    2. On the phone, enable File Transfer / Media device when prompted or from the Notification area
    3. Open the File Explorer on the PC
    4. Locate the media files on the phone
    5. Copy and paste the files to the desired backup location on the PC
    6. After the process completes, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the device from the USB port

    Restore Media Files from a PC:

    1. Connect the Android phone to the PC via USB
    2. On the phone, enable File Transfer / Media device at the prompt or from the Notification area
    3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Copy and transfer the backup files to the phone storage, preferably in the folders of origin
    5. Once the process is done, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the device from the USB port
