Lower the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

    1. Swipe the Status bar down on the home screen
    2. In the quick toggle area, drag the brightness slider towards the left
    3. Open “Settings” and access “Display”
    4. Optionally, turn “Adaptive brightness” ON or OFF
    5. For timeout options, tap “Sleep’ and select a low value like “15 seconds”

    Enable Battery Saving Mode:

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Access “Device”
    3. Tap “Battery”
    4. Tap “Menu” and enable “Battery saver”

    Disable Unused Connectivity Features:

NOTE: you can turn off the phone’s connectivity features when not actively in use, including Wi-Fi, Hotspot, Bluetooth, and GPS to avoid unnecessary network scans and potentially improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Swipe the Status bar down on the home screen
    2. Tap the “Wi-Fi” “Location” and “Bluetooth” quick toggles to turn the features Off
    3. Open “Settings” for more options
    4. Go to “Location” for GPS settings
    5. Tap “Mode” and enable “Battery saving”
    6. Return to “Settings” and expand “Wireless & networks”
    7. Turn “Tethering & mobile hotspot” OFF

    Switch to 2G Networks Temporarily:

NOTE: If your device runs low on battery and you don’t have quick access to a wall socket or battery bank, you can conserve energy until the next recharge by switching to 2G networks temporarily.

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Expand “Wireless & Networks”
    3. Access “Mobile networks” > “Preferred network type”
    4. Select “2G”

    Change Sync Settings:

NOTE: You can try improving battery life by reducing the amount of data synced by your apps and accounts.

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Access “Accounts”
    3. Select an account type and an account
    4. Change the available settings to reduce sync as desired

    Minimize Third-Party App Usage:

NOTE: Some third-party apps can perform regular background processes and thus you can try and improve battery life in the long run by disabling or removing unused third-party apps from the phone.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Access “Apps”
    3. Switch to “All apps” or “Downloaded”
    4. Select the desired app and tap “Force Stop” or “Disable”
    5. Alternatively, tap “Uninstall” to remove the app

Keep the OS Up To Date:

NOTE: OS updates can improve battery life and it’s recommended to keep the OS up to date at all times.

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Go to “About phone”
    3. Tap “System updates”
    4. Check if new updates are available
    5. If applicable, follow the on-screen prompts to download and install the update(s)
