Lower the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

    1. On the home screen, swipe the Status bar down
    2. In the quick toggle area, drag the brightness slider towards the left
    3. Open “Settings”
    4. Go to “Display” and optionally, enable or disable “Adaptive brightness”
    5. For timeout options, tap “Sleep” and select a lower value

    Enable Battery Saving Mode:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Access “Device”
    3. Tap “Battery”
    4. Tap “Menu”
    5. Enable “Battery saver”

    Disable Unused Connectivity Features:

NOTE: You can turn the phone’s connectivity features OFF when not actively in use, including Hotspot, WiFi, Bluetooth, and GPS to avoid unnecessary network scans and potentially improve battery life in the long run.

    1. On the home screen, drag the notification bar down
    2. In the notification area, tap the “Wi-Fi” “Bluetooth” and “Location” quick toggles to disable the features
    3. Open “Settings”
    4. Go to “Location” for GPS options, tap “Mode” and select “Battery saving”
    5. Return to “Settings”
    6. Expand “Wireless & Networks” and disable “Tethering & Mobile Hotspot”

    Switch to 2G Networks Temporarily:

NOTE: If your device runs low on battery and you don’t have quick access to a wall socket or battery bank, you can conserve energy until the next recharge by temporarily switching to 2G networks.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Access “Wireless & Networks”
    3. Tap “Mobile networks”
    4. Go to “Preferred network type” and enable “2G”

    Change Sync Settings:

NOTE: You can improve battery life by reducing the amount of data synced by your accounts.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Access “Accounts”
    3. Tap an account type and the desired account
    4. Change the available settings to reduce sync as desired

    Minimize Third-Party App Usage:

NOTE: Certain third-party apps perform regular background processes which can potentially affect the device’s battery life even when the apps are not actively in use. By removing or disabling unused third-party apps, you might improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Go to “Apps”
    3. Switch to “All apps” or “Downloaded”
    4. Select the desired app and tap “Force Stop” / “Disable”
    5. Alternatively, tap “Uninstall” to remove the app from the phone

    Keep the OS Updated:

NOTE: OS updates can improve battery life and it’s recommended to keep the OS up to date at all times.

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Go to “About phone”
    3. Tap “system updates”
    4. Check if new updates are available and follow the prompts to complete the process
