    Enable Battery Saving Mode:

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Go to “Device”
    3. Tap “Battery”
    4. Tap “Menu” and enable “Battery saver”

Lower the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

    1. Swipe the Status bar down on the home screen
    2. Drag the brightness slider towards the left and open “Settings”
    3. Go to “Display” and optionally, enable or disable “Adaptive brightness”
    4. For timeout options, access “Sleep”
    5. Select a lower timeout value

    Disable Unused Connectivity Features:

NOTE: You can turn the phone’s connectivity features Off when not actively in use, to avoid unnecessary network scans and potentially improve battery life.

    1. On the home screen, swipe the Status bar down
    2. From the quick toggle area, tap the “Wi-Fi” “Location” and “Bluetooth” quick toggles to disable the features
    3. Launch “Settings”
    4. Go to “Location” for GPS settings, tap “menu” and enable “Battery saving”
    5. Go back to “Settings” and expand “Wireless & Networks”
    6. Turn “Tethering & Mobile hotspot” off

    Switch to 2G Temporarily:

NOTE: if your phone runs low on battery and you don’t have quick access to a battery bank or wall socket, you can conserve energy until the next recharge by temporarily switching to 2G networks.

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Expand “Wireless & Networks”
    3. Tap “Mobile networks”
    4. Tap “Preferred network type” and enable “2G”

    Change Sync Settings:

NOTE: You could improve battery life in the long run by reducing the amount of data synced by your accounts or apps.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Go to “Accounts” and select an account type
    3. Select an account and change the available settings to reduce sync as desired

    Minimize Third-Party App Usage:

NOTE: Some third-party apps perform regular background processes which can potentially affect the device’s battery life even when the apps are not actively in use. By disabling or removing unused third-party apps, you might improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Go to “Apps”
    3. Switch to “Downloaded” or “All apps”
    4. Select the desired app
    5. To turn the app off, tap “Disable” / “Force Stop”
    6. To remove the app from the phone, tap “Uninstall”

Keep the OS Up To Date:

NOTE: OS updates can improve battery life and as such, it’s recommended to keep the OS up to date at all times.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Access “About phone”
    3. Tap “System updates” and check if new updates are available
    4. If applicable, follow the prompts to download and install available updates
