    Back Up & Restore App Data:

    1. Launch “Settings
    2. Access “Personal
    3. Tap “Backup & Reset
    4. Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data, settings, and passwords to your backup account
    5. Enable “Automatic Restore” to allow data to be restored automatically when logging in with the backup account or when reinstalling apps

    Back Up & Restore Contacts:

    1. Open “Settings
    2. Go to “Accounts
    3. Tap an account type and the desired account
    4. Make sure “Contacts” is checked then tap “menu” > “Sync Now

    NOTE: Contacts can be automatically restored the next time you log in with the backup account or by syncing the account data manually with the phone.

    Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:

    1. Connect the Android device to the PC via USB
    2. On the phone, enable “File Transfer” / ‘Media device” at the prompt or from the Notification shade
    3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media files on the phone storage
    5. Copy and paste the files to the desired backup location on the PC
    6. Once done, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord

    Restore Media Files from a PC:

    1. Connect the Android device to the PC
    2. On the phone, enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” when prompted or from the Notification area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the PC and locate the backup media files
    4. Copy and transfer the files to the phone storage, preferably in the folders from where they originate
    5. Once done, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the device from the USB port
